LtAP mini 4G kit + Verizon?

Tue Apr 23, 2019 8:07 pm

I was considering buying some of these units and I wanted to get some information before my purchase to make sure that this device is going to do what I need it to.
Say I purchase the LtAP mini 4G kit. Will it work with a Verizon sim card? If so, am I able to bridge the lte connection to the ethernet port and treat what is plugged into the ethernet port as a dhcp-client?
I just didn't get to have a double nat scenario. Or maybe this device is used in a different manner? Also, I see it is POE capable... is there a mikrotik poe injector I could buy for this?

Why would you buy kit for 4G LTE(, that has connectivity speeds of 150 down) that only comes with 10/100 ethernet ports??

I was looking for a backup internet connection essentially. I at this location I can't speed test over 60-70mbs down anyway so it doesn't matter. Will this device do as I would like?

Some kit comes with poe injectors, check the hardware page for that product. (edit, Yes it contains the poe injector with the kit)
Check which bands Verizon uses to make sure about compatibility!
MT usually makes two models (US based 2,4,5,12 and International 1/2/3/5/7/8/20/38/40) the one that covers the bands you need is the one to get.

As far as sim cards, none of these seem to have connections for sim cards, you have to get an enclosure which does..................
Ahh now I see it......... this is the device you are talking about.

Well it says 'mini Sim' for card whatever standard that describes LOL - miniSIM (2FF)

Bottom line, it excepts the older larger style card. If verizon uses a smaller size card no problem one just uses an adapter that the smaller card sits in.

Hola,

Verizon stated that they would not support the r11e-lte us that it had to be one of their approved mini-pcie cards. That being said, will this card SysCONNECT Modem CZ1, which can be found
