Suggestion: At new releases

RouterOS version 6.44.3 has been released in public "stable" channel!
Before an upgrade:
1) Remember to make backup/export files before an upgrade and save them on another storage device;
and/or use the partition function.
Fallback to a running backup partition is much more stress free than backup and restore.
I think many new Router OS users do not know this ingenious possibility because it is mentioned too rarely.

You can mention it as much as you want, but as long as all new lower end devices have "massive" 16MB flash, it's useless.

This is the first time I mentioned that.
And it will be the last time.

Hey, it wasn't anything against you. Just an observation that maybe MikroTik may not want to mention it, because it could lead too many people to ask why they can't use it with their device.

Just got an RB4011iGS+RM. It has 512MB flash, so I might have been interested, but the online documentation states that it's only available for MIPS, TILE and PowerPC. Too bad.

Ok, now understand what you meant.
On my RB2011 (mips, 128MB flash) the 2nd partition is very nice to test beta or new releases. If something is broken, then the first partition is automatically rebooted.

Could be that documentation is outdated. My RBD52G (ARM as well) has all the commands (as RB951G does and mine are having two partitions each), but I can't repartition its huge 16MB flash. Why don't you just try?

RB4011 perfectly supports multiple partitions. I am using it on multiple RB4011s.
AFAIK as long as you have >=64MB of flash storage you can use the feature regardless of the CPU architecture.
