LtAP looks really promising but WHY only 16MB of flash? Is a couple dollars really worth sacrificing future compatibility?

When did they move the Cristo Redentor statue from Rio de Janeiro to Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia?

Scratch head. Think about it. Take a look through window... nope, it's still there.

At page 7 - future MUMs - either the last picture or the last description is wrong. It says Santa Cruz de la Sierra, but this is a Rio de Janeiro picture!

Thank you very much for the interest about upcoming MikroTik products.
As it was announced during the MUMs, LoRa devices are planned at the end of this year.
The same applies for 48 ports switches.

I'm a bit disappointed seeing only 2.4 GHz radios on products sold in 2019. In urban areas 2.4 GHz is unusable. The QCA9531 chipset is over five years old now, there really should not be new products coming to market based on it.

We are heading towards 2020 and we still don't have any information about the CRS354

The big issue I see for some of those switches by the time they are released QSFP might be a dead standard more or less.
Starting to get hard to find modules , as everybody and their mother has now focused on getting into the QSFP28 and SFP28 space.

Waiting to see what Mikrotik have in store for the future to replace the CCR series as well.

It is required for Google Traffic to show the traffic situation... which is important when you do not want to end up in a traffic jam.

Ok, it's amazing that the CCR1072 is still the biggest Hard, I'm a fan of Mikrotik, but in the ISP where I work, we are with a troughput of almost 20Gb, reaching almost saturate some 10Gb interfaces and with a CPU that peeks already 50% (it's a BGP core) and I have nothing to offer superador (I do not evaluate putting x86 and dealing with generic hard). They want to migrate brand and I still resist but I need new CCR !!!! Minimum of 10 SFP + and 2/4 SFPQ-QSFP28 equipment to have uplink between 40 and 100Gb. It would be a pity if they did not reach the market's needs in time, because the core once they are migrated is expensive to make changes.

I trust Mikrotik. I do not lose hope.

I'm not that hopeful tbh . Our 1036/1072's we've mostly replaced with ER-8-XG's and ONIE switches.

Maybe look at the possibility of having microSD slot or moving ROS system partition to USB stick (and having USB port on the device itself in a first place...)?

Nice seeing a picture of a Mikrotik Metal on the lifting mechanism of SpaceX Falcon rocket

- Probably not using nv2 because the cell size/distance will get bigger/farther as a Falcon rocket lifts off and climbs up … (unless the nv2 cell size is preconfigured for maximum distance that will be used) ((( if it were me - I would use nv2 (large cell size) & super channel
- Probably using Super Channel
- Probably using a watchdog and also a watchdog script
- Probably using netwatch to keep the arp table populated
- Possibly the CPU might be running a tad bit slower than factory default (to increase reliability)
- Not MiMo - thus more power per polarity and greater receive sensitivity to pluck out a signal from the noise
- Possible 5 or 10 MHz channel width setting for the clearest signal possible in high noise environments
- And best of all , if there is a total melt-down where there is a reset to defaults, there is still a mac-telnet available to recover a system.

I guess I should of read more prior to posting - I think the Mikrotik is may be mounted on a crane - not a rocket ...

I like this idea. Stratum 1 server by Miktrotik, cheap to buy. At least for the time waiting for IEEE1588:

Not with the current NTP server implementation, although LtAP and LtAP mini hardware do support it. So, I hate to say it, but theoretically only will be possible to work on Stratum in v7

My original plans was to put standard wAP AC outside home as garden access point. Can wAP ac LTE be configured to act both as garden AP and LTE backup ISP when main ISP (fibre coming to hap ac2 via media converter) will be dead?

The nice thing about MikroTik devices is that all of them run the same software so all of them can do such things.
You can "split" the functions (AP and LTE) and feed them to your home router over separate VLANs on the cable and then do anything you like w.r.t. failover.

I wonder this is v1 semtech reference design. Any chance to move to v2 which includes TDoA geolocation (and gps for precise timing)
