we like to use an RB3011 for an FTTH internet access with 1.000 Mbit/s. Regarding to the test results
I was sure this modell can cope with this kind of traffic but normal IPSec or Routed Traffic doesn't seems to be compareable.
Currently we are only archiving up to 350 Mbit/s in downstream and upstream (tested with different firmware versions). Looking at the profiler seems that the CPU1 load arrives 90%, the CPU2 isn't that utilitized, so we have still ressouces but I'm sure a single PPPOE session couldn't be parallelized.
So I need a Router with is ready to handle 1000 Mbit/s in a single PPPoE session for getting the best from my FTTH internet access. Which Routerboard is guaranteed to handle that throughput within PPPoE?
Or is there someone out who uses a RB3011 with one 1 GbE FTTH and PPPoE?
