RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN and SPF modules unrecognizable

Hello,

for my home network I used RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN for a long time. It is nice device with slow wifi ( max 72 Mbps stable working mode ). Now I have a new toy RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN. In the same condition N on 2.4 Ghz works better ( 300 Mbps working mode ).

So I decided to connect both devices with fiber. And the bad new arrived. RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN cannot recognize any SPF module.

Both use 6.44.3 version. Any idea?

BTW why RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN SPF slot is reversed? It is harder to unplug fiber cable.

First of all, upgrade RB2011 at least to latest long-term ROS version (at this time 6.48.5, but beware of some issues reported by some users so you may want to go for 6.47.10).

Then get SFP modules know to be compatible with your device. Mikrotik has SFP compatibility list (which includes only MT's own SFP modules). Some 3rd party vendors offer SFP modules and they claim compatibility with MT.
