RB4011 PoE out to Raspberry PoE HAT

Mon Oct 28, 2019 3:25 pm

Hi.

I have a RB4011. I'm trying to power the Raspberry Pi with the official PoE hat.
I have seen that RB4011 has Passive PoE up to 57V on ether10 and the Raspberry Pi PoE hat needs from 36-56V input and it's using 802.3af. In MT wiki i found an article whic says that passive PoE can power up af/at compatible devices, but my Raspberry does not power ON.

Is there something that can be done about it? I have also noticed that the light on MT for ether10 is always on (not the lights of the port but the other one, whic indicates if the port is up and blinks when there is traffic), even if there is no device connected, is that normal?

Regards.

Hi,

You must use 48V power adapter.
RB4011 comes by default with 24V power adapter.
