Hi,
I try to connect an iMac Pro (which has a 10G AQuantia AQtion AQC107-AFW Ethernet adapter) to a Gigabit port on a RB2011UAS-2HnD. The issue is that after a somewhat longer auto negotiation phase (~10 sec) the link speed is set to 100 Mbps. According to the status page of the Ethernet port, the router advertises all speeds up to 1000M, but it only sees 100M from the link partner. However the negotiation seems to be done, the link is not working, the client cannot get an IP from the DHCP server.
If I try to plug the iMac into a 100M Fast Ethernet port, the link is fine and the client gets an IP.
I've tried multiple CAT5 and CAT6 cables without luck.
I've tried using a USB-C Gigabit Ethernet adapter in the same port on the router and it works fine on Gigabit speed.
I've tried fiddling with the adapter settings on the mac, including setting the negotiation to manual, but it didn't work. Other computers work fine with the same Gigabit Ethernet port on the router using a 1000M link. The iMac also worked fine in the office with Gigabit speed.
Is there a known limitation with these AQuantia adapters? Should I invest time trying out another version of RouterOS or it's purely a hardware issue?
Some essential info about the config:
RouterOS: v6.45.9 Long Term
Gigabit ports I've tried: ether1 and ether5
macOS version: 10.15.5 (latest at the time of writing) (I've also tried Windows 10 using Bootcamp, the issue persists)
Ethernet port settings on the router: Auto negotiation, auto RX/TX flow control
