i am very new in MikroTik products and a little bit confused due to behavior of the board and descriptions in the documentation.
First thing is, that i am surprised, that on the official sites it is explained, that all mikrotik devices have the initial ip 192.168.88.1
The RB912 has a DHCP-Client waiting for an IP address. And is initial in bridge mode.
The second thing is, that i need to customize the configuration in which the board goes after reset (factory-reset). In the documentation, i read that netinstall is the tool.
I should flash RouterOS with the option "config-script" checked. But netinstall dont even see the board. Do you have an idea, what i am doing wrong?
This is, what i tried:
Static ip-address is given to my host, all other interface are disabled and windows firewall is disabled.
I start netinstall and make all settings like recommended in the documentation
connect to the board via putty/ssh and set:
Code: Select all
/system routerboard settings set boot-device=try-ethernet-once-then-nand
/system reboot
After that nothing happens
