Hi,

is it currently possible (with a OmniTik 5 AC) to configure a regular 802.11ac Accesspoint for normal Clients but also configure a nv2 -protocoll enabled virtual accesspoint for terminating a PtP Link to another Mikrotik XT Lite5?
Or are both transmission protocols incompatible that this could work with one Hardware NIC and two VAPs?

Thanks a lot for clearyfing.

Cheers

Nv2 not working for ac ???.... well problems seem to be gone since 6.45.6. Better / worse it all depends now!

Had troubles with 802.11ac connections that failed every few hours when using 802.11ac. Done all tuning I know and understand (AMSDU=2048,( where now I think for “ac” this is just not even used as the possible values are around 3500,5500,11000), hw-retries=15, rts/cts, noise immunity, long preamble, higher disconnect timeout …..) not much of an improvement , not statistically relevant. Most logged disconnect error “no beacon received”. Trimming the tree in between did not improve it either.

Switched to Nv2 for AP SXTSA5-13 and stations SXTsq 6,7 and 11. (13-14 link had no problem). Stable now, already 3 full days, weather storm included. CCQ even better than the short 13-14 link.
