So I have got the mikrotik RBLHGR&R11e-4G. got everything wired up and connected. bought a pay as you go sim from o2 - activated it by topping it up. pushed the microsim into the device but it isn't picking the sim up i believe. not sure how far to push it in as well.

Anyone tried this kind of setup and give me some tips?

Tested the o2 sim card and it is working on a phone but nothing from the mikrotik. Do you need a mobile broadband sim card?

I've seen others have trouble getting the SIM properly seated, apparently if you put the SIM in the wrong way round it can still go in far enough to apparently latch, but of course it doesn't work. See this discussion on another forum ..

The sim holder has a spring action you should here/feel it "click" when its correctly positioned. The newer version with the small sim is very fiddly.
