L2tp problem

Fri Jan 08, 2021 7:02 pm

Hello,
I try to create an l2tp client. I configured the tunnel and it works but when I try to reach a devise on the other side I keep getting errors.
The connection works and also I manually added a route to the LAN subnet using VPN as gateway on the remote computer, telling it: "to reach 192.168.x.x you have to use VPN tunnel remote IP as gateway".

What could be the problem?

It would help if you could be a little more specific about the errors you get, especially since you say that it works, but yet it apparently doesn't.

With that said, I had a lot of trouble with Win10's firewall and default VPN adapter configuration.

The l2tp interface is marked as running, but when I try to ping any lan devices I get a network unreachable from the other side of the tunnel. I try to ping directly via my router

The problem basically is that on the other side of the tunnel there is a firewall rule blocking everything that's not cumming from my local ip. Can I change the ip shown in the other side of the tunnel?
