CM9 not working with 2.8.22, showing as 5212 instead 5213

Thu Dec 30, 2004 7:11 pm

I updated several Mikrotiks running CM9 boards. They were priviously showing up as AR5213's, with Nstream available and working. After upgrade, the interface is showing 5212 and there is NO Nstream option any longer. All our clients disconnected and will not reconnect until we disable Nstream on the client side.

I believe this is a bug.

Please help!

You've installed the wireless-legacy package. You must use wireless for nStreme, and AR5213 drivers

which means - remove the wireless package that you have right now (check `/system package`) and then install the normal wireless package that is on mikrotik.com (there are two - use the `wireless.npk` and NOT the `wireless-legacy.npk`)

We will take the wireless-legacy package out of the general distribution and put it as a separate download on the download page.

Are you guys in the process of sorting out the various problems with the wireless 2.8.x packages ? I currently have to run wireless-legacy on all of my routerboards if they are opperating on 5.8G. Why are the speeds so low when using the wireless package and should I rather try using the beta software ?

Thanks
