we have 2 BGP Peers and we are adding another one that cannot send us a default route via BGP; is there a way to enable a static default route only when BGP session is UP ? In other words can we have a default route only when that peer is UP like if him send it us ?

It is possible with a script that checks BGP peers status and disables/enables default route accordingly.

Hi.
1. Netwatch the peer.
2. Add the default route by checking the gateway with ping.
3. Use a recursive route to check the gateway for the default route.
