Hi Normis. On Friday when RC1 was releases, someone asked about the ISO for RC1, and you said it woudl be updated on Monday. I have noticed is still not uploaded, and NetInstall keeps failing so i cant use that to update. When are we likely to see and ISO for RC1 ?
Thanks, Jeremy

Well, I have seen a number of posts about NetInstall failing for other people....so may it doesnt work for everyone
It only fails for me when using the Network connection, Its the old problem of it starting to format the HD, getting so far thru then giving a general network error....anyway,thats another story.
I Tried FTP too, but this didnt work either.....BUT after a lot of mucking around, I found that since I downloaded an ISO for 2.9.44 and installed using that, that the issue why it has not updated the version to RC1 is because it shows an error that the license does not support RC1...I hade to record a movie of the screen to see what it said it was so quick.
I guess I should get a demo key for RC1 then
Jeremy

That info is also in the log after reboot... Just click "Log" in Winbox or type
/log print
in a terminal window.

Netinstall and new firmware are a must to go together to make things work, you can get it from routerboard.com under firmware
