Hi,
my problem is that mikrotik routerboard HEX is not working properly and reset button is broken. First of all, when I attach power cable, bit of sound does not work/sound. Second the leds (for port 1->internet, port 2->ethernet) blinks and after 6 seconds the leds goes off and the blink again and this goes on. I try netinstalll is not working because of broken reset button. There is a another solution?
Thanks in advance
I wait as soon as possible for a response

Perhaps not the issue, but do try to use different power adapter. PAs age and can become marginal after a while. In such cases electronic devices might enter a boot loop (because PA is not capable of delivering power needed for normal operation) or become unstable (experiencing random reboots when PA delivers enough power for normal operation but not for peak power usage).

To the reset button: some older devices had secondary reset "button": a hole in case over a two-contact patch. One has to short the two contacts (e.g. by using a flat screwdriver) and that's the same as pressing reset. Availability of that secondary reset method depends on particular device.

Drink two less coffees a week and you will have saved enough money to buy another hex in 3 weeks, but instead get a hapac2. Bit better bang for the buck.

I'm serious,
solder a button or two cables on reset button "pin"

Do not lose time to search the hole with two contacs

But, if the ethernet do not give link, use recycle bin (disposal the device following your country rules)

If this guy can do this, then the solder on the hex is doable!

I now have both the hAP ac2 and the hEX and I think I prefer the hEX. I was using the hAP ac2 as just a router since I have other things that I prefer for WiFi. The hEX uses less power and runs a lot cooler, and so far its performance has been the same or better. (It seems to have a bit less latency, although that wasn't based on a lot of testing, so it's just my initial impression.)

Perhaps the hAP ac2 would be better if I were using a VPN, but for just routing and firewall the hEX is working well for me.
