You must check your firewall configuration. All the ports used by msn must be opened.
This is the list of the ports used by msn:
-80 (tcp) : Conversation, games
-1863 (tcp): Conversation
- 6891-6900 (tcp): files transfers
- 6901 (tcp and udp) voice conversation
- 443 (tcp): login, password, secure connexions
- 9000-9999 (random ports) (tcp): WebCam
- 3389 (tcp): remote assistance.
- 1503 (cp) : white bord, shared applications

all those ports are open,, it happends that in some computers msn is working and in others not... i did reinstall msn on the ones not working but is the same ...
could it be the ethernet adapter of the ones not working the problem??? coulkd it be possible even though the pc is surfing?

If you are making connection to your ISP with PPPoe check that your MTU setting is at 1492, that solved the problem for me

You may use torch to track down the addresses and traffic that uses your upload, make sure that these ports are opened and you are using 2.9.46 version.
