Hotspot Limits Active Conection

I'm using a CCR1036 to manage a hotspot with a large number of users. I'm currently getting around 1300 active users, but I have more than 4000 hosts connected but not active. Is there any limitation for the number of active users? Is there any configuration that I can do to improve it?
OBS: The hotspot works normally, I just noticed that the captive portal is taking a long time to load, and sometimes it can't even redirect to the page. Could that be the problem? Any suggestion or help will be of great value, as I've been stuck with this problem for a while.
Thanks!!

The Help might be in the documentation (The Help website)

Like I said, I'm using a CCR1036, so level 6.

OK. License is not limiting.
Resources (RAM, CPU, ...) could still be.
But also things as DNS concurrent Queries and connections if the MT DNS is used. DNS server defaults are low for use by 1300 active users.

Nice, I already had updated these values, but I will raise a little bit more, and watch. Thanks!
Do you recommend which values to put it in?
CPU, RAM and Disks are, under 30% of use

Unfortunately, didn't work. I raised the DNS values to:
Max. Concurrent Queries = 5000
Max. Concurrent TCP Sessions: 3000
But without success.
I think the problem is that after a large numbers of users connect, the captive portal page not load, or still too slow and than the new users not connect. Any ideia what could be?
Obs: I am using trial hotspot

Hello, I don't have a solution but I am seeing a similar problem on CHR, I already increased the DNS Queries allowed:

check cpu culprit of usage using
tools profile
cpu-usage-profile.png
check how much load has your mos taxed cpu core
cpu-usage.png
i have seen that is a good practice when dealing with high ammounts of users to distribute load between several vlans around 200 users per vlan and a /24 addressing plan per vlan, that helps at the moment to diagnose too

Thanks for help guys!
chechito, nice idea distribute the traffic, but in my case its difficult to deploy. I take a print for cpu load, but for me nothings is wrong.

I think hotspot server doesn't handle a lot of concurrents connections, but there isn't any config too raise the power of hotspot server.
Another ideia that I had, is the about, interface, because today I have only 1 interface to this hotspot, and 1 for the wan link, both in 1 Gbps.
What you think?

Finally I solve my problem!!
I install a CHR on a dedicated server with an intel Xeon Processor and 32 GB RAM. The users now is around 3000!! and keep raising. The captive portal is not slow anymore!
The only explanation that I could imagine, its the CCR has some limitations for specific services like hotspot, where they reserve a hardware limit. I hope mikrotik fix this limitation for their boxes.
I appreciate all help in this topic! Thanks.

hello
how many cores do you have on you CHR and what max traficc do you utilize?
do you have ports more than 1G?
and what settings for dns do you use?
