RB5009 power IN voltage range

Hi.
I just got my RB5009 and I have a question. There is a label on the router under the DC jack which says 12-57V but on the website
https://mikrotik.com/product/rb5009ug_s_in I can see that the IN voltage is 24-57V.
So, who is right? Can I power the router from 12V? Can I power it from 12v on the 2-pin terminal? Is there any issue with powering it from 12v?

Both the specifications and the block diagram indicate an input voltage of 24-57 V for the DC jack and the 2-pin terminal...
Maybe you should ask the support team...
Personally since even the included power adapter is 24V, i would not use a lower voltage than that ...

I’m powering mine via PoE+ at 8.49 watts…whatever that coverts to in volts.

Watts = Voltage x Amps
PoE+ has a Voltage between 42,5–57V

Same question, still no definitive answer.
I'm trying to make some small UPS based on Lead Acid batteries to keep the RB5009, modem and one AP online when the power goes out (happened too many times this year). The problem is, that modem and AP use 12V and RB5009 uses 24 volts. So what would be the best approach? Connecting two 12V batteries to get 24 volts, then use something like DR-UPS20 from MeanWell to charge those batteries and provide 24V to RB5009. Also on separate wires i would then need DC-DC converter to 12V to power modem and AP. Probably doable. Is there any better not too expensive solution?

I guess the concept you described is quite fine.
If you care about autonomy while on batteries, make sure you get a highly efficient DC-DC down-converter. Some shitty ones can have efficiency as low as 50% and difference between 0.5A and 1A of power draw for 10W load (at 24V) is significant if batteries used are 7Ah ...

I will probably just use DDR-30L-12 from Mean Well, that should work at 89% efficiency. Then i can just supply 24V from DR-UPS20 directly to RB5009 and CapAX through POE injector and just use this aditional DDR only for Modem. I think 30 W will be more than enough for modem. Two decent 12V batteries and i should be OK for 3 to 4 hours.
