Hey guys,
i have a problem with upgrading my rb2011 to the latest version.
At the moment is 7.1beta6 installed and when i try to install to 7.1 or 7.1.1 the router reboots and at the next boot it is still on the beta6
I only see in the log files a kernel failure:
kernel failure in previous boot
At the moment i only tried it through the Package Upgrade Option in Winbox
Config was freshly created on the 7.1beta6 firmware

On my rb2011uias I had to copy the update to the Files storage location and then reboot.
Otherwise I had the same issue you mention.

7.1beta6 had serious issues that often prevented upgrading from 7.1beta6 to anything later. You should reset your router to no-default-configuration so it is completely blank and then upgrade.
In my experience the problem is normally caused if the router has any bridges whatsoever. It will crash every reboot causing any upgrade attempt to fail. Resetting configuration to regular factory defaults therefore doesn't allow the upgrade to work because it creates a bridge.

Sadly i still had the problem with completly default config.
Should i reset and restore no config and try it that way?
The funny thing at the moment i am on beta6 and i upgraded it already to a newer version on another partition, because a crash i needed to go back to beta6.
Is it possible to get an older version to download to test it? For example beta7?
Config for the moment is nealy default (setup after i tried with default config)
Only mayor change to stock is i have an pppoe and wireguard interface

"Default configuration" includes a bridge with ethernet devices so resetting to blank config will help with that

Yes, as I clearly stated, you have to reset to no-default-config, so that the device config is completely empty, without even an IP address. Resetting to default config will NOT help at all as the bridge will still exist.
You will need to use MAC winbox to upload the npk file to a device that doesn't have any configuration whatsoever as it won't have an IP for you to connect to.

For information, it was enough to disable the bridge and all other Interfaces.
The Update ran fine and after that i enabled everything again.
