Serial Proxy using SOCKS, normis?

Tue Sep 11, 2007 11:43 pm

I would like to ask if there are some way to relay packets coming from the /ip socks facility to the serial console and vice-versa. This may be strongly useful to manipulate serial devices plugged on the serial console (perhaps usb ports too) via telnet. Is that even possible?

If not, I am one who would love such feature implementation on the MT ROS. Thx. :)

Nope. It can be done under linux, but it's a bit complicated.

only thing close is the special-login command that redirects a login to a serial port.
