QoS

Thu Sep 13, 2007 5:08 am

Hello i trying to setup qos on my 532A, but someone told me that i can setup the QoS without have MK on the client side, i think to implement the QoS in the access list table for control bandwidth for every costumer that is connected to my MK.

please tell if is correct

thanks

Yes, is not neccesary have MK on the client side. In your 532 you can create queues and control bandwidth for every costumer that is connected to your MK.

If you only setup QoS on the tower side, that means you only prioritise the client download traffic.

You don't actually control the client equipment upload, though you queue the client upload on your tower, and shape (prioritise) the upload to the internet.
