I have followed this article:

however regardless of whatever settings I try, on Mikrotik side I get PH2 State : no phase 2
and on Watchguard side: I get
no response for IKE_SA_INIT request message. Check the connection between the local and remote gateway endpoints.

any ideas will be appreciated.

Could you please share your MikroTik configuration?

Please make sure that any personal information is removed.

Perhaps the MT device is telling you it prefers Wireguard over Watchguard?
