CCR1016 - FAN noise, speed

Sat Jul 30, 2022 5:09 am

Hi,

Forgive me if I'm repeating the issue with CCR1016. I did a quick search and didn't see topic about fan noise/speed related to capacitors C1442 and C1443 on CCR1016, though similar problem was discussed here: viewtopic.php?p=838845#p838845

For apparent no reason fans on CCR1016 began to run on high rpm. Top cover was removed to clean the dust and to do visual inspection. It was quickly discovered bulged capacitors, so by replacing them the issue went away. Just sharing this knowledge about CCR1016 (for some reason i thought this was just with some CCR1036)

Best,
Yuri

I didn't know that the CCR1016 had variable speed fans. I thought it was just on/off, and one or the other. That if one fan stopped spinning, the other would start.

It also appears you are a few firmware versions behind.. ;)
