The Dude not discovering WAPs

Dear All,

I am having a problem with the Dude discovering my Netgear WAPs. It doesn't seem to be able to see them. I have the Dude plug in installed on a RouterBoard 500 and I can connect without any problems. I can only ping these access points from Winbox using 'ARP Ping'. Does this make a difference to the Dude not being able to discover the devices?

I am connecting to the network remotely.

I am sorry if this is a basic quesiton, but I am new to this.

Many Thanks for any help.

Peter

I am getting frustrated at the lack of response. I thought the idea of these forums was to help each other out?

the dude finds devices based on ping. if you can't ping those devices, dude won't find them. why can't you ping them? are they set up as bridges or in some other funky way so that they are transparent on the network? it is a configuration issue on the netgear I think
