Sometimes a DHCP lease shows up as "Busy" indefinitely and in the case of static IP's, the client is unable to obtain their IP for the duration.

A manual click of the "check status" button will resolve the issue bring the status back to "waiting" and then the client can receive the IP and it will become "bound" again.

A little bit of troubleshooting on my end has revealed that the issue may stem from a client having their IP assigned and de-assigned multiple times rapidly, say 2-3 times in a few seconds, possibly from a poor wireless connection.

Is there any way to prevent this, or possibly create a script that can "check status" for all leases every X minutes?

I'm facing the same problem . I have also dhcp clients on dsl & wireless clients . Quite often it is heaping like dhcp-lease status shows busy and if I disable and enable it then it goes on waiting status.

Anyone know the reason behing the "DHCP_LEASE_STATUS_BUSY ??

I think it's a bug in MT OS, cause many people talked about it here but didn't fine any solution for it.

I had the same issue.

At my network problem solved... One of Mikrotik's had PROXY-ARP on ether2 and when host trying to get IP from DHCP (static leases in my case) he thinks that this specific IP is already used.

DISABLE PROXY-ARP on every MT.
