Hi All,

I have a simple question. I have been applying the p2p firewall rule on the RouterOS. Can someone tell me what the box next to the P2P means? You can put an exclamation mark in it? P2P- Box - (drop down menu) all-p2p

Many Thanks for your help!

Peter

Hi,

You will see this little exclamation mark box in many places, not just next to P2P.

It means NOT.

so if you choose P2P protocol kazaa in that field then tick the exclamation then your rule will NOT match kazaa.

Thanks!

Sorry for being dumb but what does 'Not' mean in this context? I have all-p2p selected in this case with the exclamation mark selected. What would this mean?

it would mean NOT all-p2p so if you were trying to handle p2p so that you can drop it thus preventing users from using p2p that wouldnt work, and so p2p for users would still be working ok.
