Just ordered a LHGGM&EG18-EA - got fed up waiting for ATL18 - anyone know what the M.2 slot is for, or can be used for? Since the EG18 is a chip carrier so presumably soldered directly on the main board the M.2 can't be for the modem, so just wondering what the M.2 options could be.

The M.2 slot houses the R11mL-EG18-EA modem, as on the Chateau 5G, the M.2 slot house the R11mL-RG502Q-EA

Ah OK thanks, I didn't realise that they embedded the Quectel modem on an M.2 slot although that would make complete sense. I would have expected them to sell it as a separate part if they did, but I don't see it listed separately with any of the suppliers I use. It saves me taking it apart to find out!

I was not aware until reading up that they had done this, which is why I'm currently querying the Chateau LTE18 ax as if it has a m.2 slot, I can upgrade my Chateau 5G by moving the R11mL modem across.
