Hi,
Just got brand new cAP ax and switched to CAPs mode only to find out its not joining to CAPsMAN.
I hook up my laptop to ether2 and noticed unit is without any configuration.
Perhaps this is why its not auto joining to CAPsMAN?
I've got number of hAP lite joined to CAPsMAN automatically so I'm pretty sure my current CAPsMAN setup is okay.
This brand new cAP ax is with v7.8. And CAPsMAN is running on v6.49.3. May be this is problem?
Anyway, I'm really puzzled why cAP ax will not join. Version issue? or the fact that no configuration for cAP ax in CAPs mode is the culprit?

EDIT: While cAP ax is in CAPs mode, I logged in using Winbox. I opened up wireless then pressed CAP button.
Enable checkbox is not checked. I think this is BUG.

EDIT2:I've now enabled CAP. I'm seeing "no suitable CAPsMAN" on the log.
Unit hasn't received IP as it is not configured with DHCP client. Does it need one to find CAPsMAN?
I haven't seen min. configuration for a unit when it is in CAPs mode.

Thought you could not combine old capsman with new cap ax wave2 drivers things like that. It has been written before, give a search.

You are right. I think I've came across that while back. Forgot.
Version conflict aside, cAP ax running in CAPs mode without CAP enabled is still an issue.

Ahh.. That makes sense. I just upgraded cAP ax to v7.9 and it joined.

I'm using CAPsMAN on CCR-1009 with RouterOS 7.14.2 and cAP ax on RouterOS 7.14.2.

Hours spent to connect cAP ax to CAPsMAN still "no connection to CAPsMAN" - all others CAPs (not ax) works.

Any help please!

In Capsman via wifi-qcom,
If I try to connect on the same box, I get
caps,debug no suitable CAPsMAN

If I add the "lo" interface to Capsman Remote and then connect to 127.0.0.1 it works.

If I try to connect from a remote box, it will initially join but then keeps getting an error that it cannot find a trusted CA certificate if I try to lock it down, require a client certificate, or reboot it.
I'm trying to figure this one out. I keep having to delete all the certificates and try again. Then it will stay connected until the next reboot.....
