Great video, one suggestion, put cable glands on box, or at least some silicone :D
Also you made one hell of the lightning rod

Did not watch video till the end. I'm so sad now. Silicone gun was clearly visible.
I think lightning issues are more prelevant in some parts of the world than in others. This setup already lived through several heavy thunderstorms

Okay got me. Now it was the spray painting after mounting the ATL that had me laughing. Should have just painted the whole thing black as a stress-test of the cooling ;)

You definitely need the "Home Users" playlist and include non ISP related videos in there. Also, some Tips & Tricks would be very helpful.

What good will speedtest do, if you don't know the line of sight and load of tower? It's around 75Mbit at best

... which is already damn good for a connection 5km away, I would say.

ATL is the best outdoor LTE we have right now, it has a nice modem. If signal is okay, it's the one to get.
If signal is really poor, LHG might be better choice (so, for longer distances even)

@normis
In Lithuania, we used the LHG antenna for a long time, we got a speed of 20-30Mbs. Then Telia (ISP) gave me to try ZTE indoor modem, it received 60-100Mbs (4G) indoors. It's hard to trust Mikrotik LTE products now....
Even the external ones of ZTE 5G are cheaper compared to Mikrotik

Well.... if an indoor hotspot is getting good speed, the LHG may have been the wrong choice. But agree they could improve the LTE product offerings...
If there are multiple cell towers with signal in your area, you lose the ability to potentially use them up with the directional antennas in the LHG. So it's not too surprising a hotspot might perform better since it might be used a "better" tower since it has a omni antenna and you're not that far from the antenna. Now I'm guessing the upload is higher on the LHG than the ZTE since you only mention download. If you can post, your signal readings from both the LHG and the ZTE might get some advice on improving.

Upload is also much better with ZTE. It is used for cameras, the difference was very noticeable due to the upload. I would try the ATL LTE18 kit, but it's too expensive for testing.

LHG is for situations where you have no signal. Like Amm0 said, if an indoor device is giving good results, it means LHG is not a good choice for your location. You need to compare to something like Chateau 5G. Different types of devices, LHG is not for place with extremely good signal, it's purpose is to reach far

Well... maybe MT should add an outdoor LTE device with a decent 4x4 omni antenna to the line up. ;)
The LtAP/wAPac's omni have pretty weak antennas (and not 4x4) and the directional ATL isn't not always ideal (e.g. roof in city with multiple towers in different directions).
