Container Memory/CPU usage visibility

Fri Aug 25, 2023 2:39 pm

Hello,

I spawned two containers, cloudflared and blocky on my RB5009 and it's working flawlessly, really awesome!

Now, I am wondering how much memory a container is using, e.g. blocky. I see memory consumption increase, with no mean to witness which container is responsible for this.

Anyone knows/heard of container roadmap ? Being able to display memory/cpu consumed would be great.

Thank you

Hi,

i am also analyzing this problem for me and such a feature would be great.
For testing, i have 2 containers which are using about 100MB on my Server.
I installed them now on my RB5009 and before the start i have about 800MB free, after starting the containers (exact same config as on server) the Free memory goes down to about 550MB which would mean, they are using on the RB5009 now 250MB which would be quite high considered to my Server. (64GB RAM Server, so it could use much more)

Could this be a architecture problem x86 to arm64 or is this something else?
So an overview how much RAM a container is using would be really nice.

I'm also looking for such a feature for my RB5009.
It would be nice if the router could also export these metrics via SNMP.

For now, the Profiler tool can show me how much combined CPU usage the containers are using, and that's it. Nothing else.

+1, to both a roadmap & per-container mem/CPU. I'd also add showing the disk usage of a container be nice too.

Ideally via /container item, than having to start the profile tool to see it.
