Legacy capsman on a cap?

Sun Oct 01, 2023 7:53 pm

I want to switch to a L009UiGS-2HaxD-IN as my main entry point to my network. But since that is wifiwave2 I need to run "legacy" caps manager on one of my older devices. I learned this via viewtopic.php?t=200091

I tried disabling caps manager on my main device and then I connected to my RBD52G-5HacD2HnD, which is in CAP mode and tried to configure CAPs manager with bridgeLocal datapath and it didn't work. I don't quite understand if making a random CAP on my network, the "caps manager" will work. Maybe it's a firewall issue?

Do let me know if you have any tips!

Yes, it will work on one of the CAPs, any CAP can be a CAPsMAN to itself. Our video actually has this scenario in the example https://youtu.be/taQ70m0DVYA?si=cNiSwBEeeLbt5ehC
