Could somebody clarify which package is needed on the L009UIGS-2HexD for the use of the WIFI interface?
Somehow it was lost after a manual OS update where i did not intstall all the extra packages.

Which of it is necessary to get it running again?

Uninstall wireless and install wifi-qcom (the non "-ac" one).

Next time use GUI package upgrade mechanizm, it'll install the right packages.

Just did that before reading your post - and not it's fine!
Thanks mkx anyway!

Well, the reason i did a manual upgrade was that the gui does only allow you to upgrade version step by version step
and not skip ahead to tthe current version. Or is there a way?

And i didn't open the L009's case yet, but is it possible to upgrade a 5GHz ac oder ax variant with different hardware?

though another question

Though i have another question:
it only seems possible to activate the package "wireless" or "wifi-qcom".
I assume only the wifi-qcom is necessary?

Edit: ah, i had to install the "wireless" package to have capsman.
So these two bite each other?

That would be a pitty to not be able to use the R009's wifi with capsman if you want
to run capsman on it. :(

When upgrading it's generally possible to skip right to latest version. But sometimes this is not possible, step to 7.13 is one such exception. The reason is split of wifi driver packages from main package and only upgrade from 7.12 to 7.13 ensures that correct wifi package gets installed and that config gets translated correctly.

I don't think it's possible to add a 5GHz wireless card (or replace the 2.4GHz one) in L009.

Yes, only one should be active and you need wifi-qcom for running local wifi interface, so basically on L009 you should forget about wireless package.

There are two capsmans, legacy to control CAPs which run legacy wireless drivers, and wave2/wifi capsman to control wifi-running CAPs. The new one is part of main routeros package and is controlled under /interface/wifi ...

There you're hiding now CAPsMAN

Even though i find the CAPsMAN button, it does not show the menu i am locking for

So: either or? Do i have to decide wether to use CAPsMAN or the L009s wifi interface?

New capsman doesn't provision local wireless interfaces. So you still have to configure L009 wireless "locally" and only use capsman to provision remote interfaces (on other devices). Since new capsman shares configuration space with local interfaces (profiles, etc.), it's pretty easy to configure local interface with exactly the same settings, also mibility will work just fine as both remote and local interfaces are controlled by same wifi control entity (capsman is only one presentation of that entity, it's not the entity itself).
