Fan Issue Post-Update 7.14 on Microtique

Hi everyone,

I've recently encountered an issue with my Mikrotik CCR2004-16G-2S+ since the last update to version 7.14.1. Prior to this update, the fans would operate intermittently, which seemed normal and efficient. However, after updating, I've noticed that the fans are now running continuously, without any breaks.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Is there a known problem with the latest update that could be causing this change in fan behavior? Additionally, if there's a setting or configuration that I might have overlooked that could resolve this, I would greatly appreciate any guidance on how to adjust it.

Thank you in advance for your help and suggestion.

in the documentation : https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/display/ROS/Health
there is a note : *NOTE: the default value may vary based on FAN controller chip and/or specific model requirements. From RouterOS verson 7.14 default value is set to 12, all previous versions have 0.

I've changed to 0. It's ok. But I should keep the value 12 or can I put 0 as before ?

My advice. Set it to minimum you can bare, but not 0.
If fans are not spinning, the temps will rise until reaches 60-65 I think.
Fans will kick in, the temps will decrease until maybe 40?
Loop from here.
This heating up and cooling down in an infinite loop is not good for your CPU in the long run.
