I'm trying to implement a gateway failover on RC13. I've tried the "examples" of wiki ( I dont understand whats the point of having examples with syntax errors and after correction still not doing the job).
I have two ( and I will have 4) different ADSL lines. When the one being used goes down for any reason, it is very easy to detect that and change to another one. But then I need to know when the first one is ON again, so I can put it back to operation. The "improved netwatch (1 and 2)" scripts , they don't detect when the first interface is back on.
Then, I tried to use the "new" ping options: one can now choose interface. Problem is that if the interface is not the one with default gateway , the ping doesnt work... again: whats the point having an option that doesnt work?
