hAP-AC2 convert to Legacy Wireless?

I've a hAP-AC v6.4x that is dying so I ordered a hAP-AC2 v7.15 to replace it but the wave2 will not support the config in the AC. Is there a way to convert to the, I guess legacy, non-wave2 wireless menus? If not, what MT devices do not use wave2 so I can return this one and get one that supports, my current setup?
Regards,
Joie

Uninstall wifi-qcom-ac package, install wireless package. Wireless configuration must be redone because it is not compatible.

What functionality of legacy wireless in particular are you missing on wifi device?

I retired from IT work about 4 years ago so I have not messed with Mikrotik in a couple of years and the wireless interface on this hAP-AC2 is totally different then on my hAP-AC v6.4x. I thought at first it was the Wifiwave2 package so uninstalled that and no change, so I uninstalled the wifi-qcom and installed wireless same different menu so maybe there is no way to get the old menu back?
I use the hAP-AC v6.4x in my RV. I have all the devices in the RV connected to the hAP-AC and then I have security-profiles and connect-list for all the campgrounds we visit regularly saved in it so that when we pull into a campground it automatically connects and I have internet without me having to join the network every time. In the new software I see no place for connect-list or any way to import my security-profiles and connect-list from the hAP-AC so I am kind of lost.
Since I'm retired and this isn't my job anymore I was just trying to get the old 6.4x menu back so I could accomplish what I needed and move on without having to learn new tricks.
I can return the hAP-AC2 and order a hAP-AC but I am not sure if the new hAP-AC will have the old 6.4x menu or the new one.
Thanks,
Joie

Check what "Factory Firmware" version is shown at /system/routerboard.
If that starts with 6.4x you can just install the latest 6.x LTS (which is currently 6.49.13).
When done, you get identical menu.
Other option is to upgrade both devices to 7.12.1 and enjoy the new menu.

Already looked at that and base firmware is 7 so I cant.go back to 6.
I dont like the new menu as I dont know how to do anything. Wheres the connect list at? After retiring its not my job or my hobby anymore so I'm not trying to start over with this new menu system so since theres no way to get the old menu back I'll just return it.
Thanks,
Joie

The AC devices are still able to run legacy wireless even with most recent ROS v7. Follow these steps:
- download extras archive for architecture ARM and exactly right ROS version running on your hAP ac2 from https://mikrotik.com/download
- open archive and extract wireless .npk
- upload file to your hAP ac2
- go to System -> Packages and mark wifi-qcom-ac for uninstallation
- reboot device
After these steps verify that wifi driver package was indeed replaced by wireless.
After this is done, your device will not have default config for wireless applied. You can either work through it manually (I suggest to go with this option) or reset to factory defaults (and rework any specifics you may have now). It might be possible to do something about wireless config by going through quickset but this will likely mess with the rest of (customized) config so I advise against it (unless you perform factory reset before that in which case quickset won't have anything to mess with).
