Stuck at 2.11p

Fri Aug 23, 2024 8:54 am

New CSS106-5G-1Sr2 with stock 2.11, updated to 2.11p and cannot update to 2.16. How to update it? Tried even manually.

Same here, I bought a new CSS106-5G-1Sr2 with 2.11p and cannot update to 2.16. I tried manually but no luck. At the time of rebooting I lost the connection but the switch never reboots. I have to cycle the power to have access again.

Interesting, I have a couple CSS106-5G-1S switches (not the r2) and they updated fine. I wonder what's up with the r2 version???

A few days ago, I purchased a MikroTik RB260GS (CSS106-5G-1S) switch, expecting it to be a reliable solution. However, right out of the box, I encountered the same issue with being unable to update the firmware – it’s still stuck on version 2.11p from 2020.

I'm extremely disappointed, especially considering that this topic was created in August, yet nothing has changed. MikroTik has offered no solution or response to this ongoing issue. I regret buying this product, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. I've already wasted my time, and now I’ll have to spend even more time arranging a refund.
