I have a CRS326-24G-2S+ unit that I recently noticed had an uptime not consistent with when I would have rebooted it. It does not appear to have lost power. There are also no indications in the log that it was rebooted such as the message "router rebooted" corresponding to the alleged uptime. The RouterOS version on it was a prior 6.49.x long-term version with the corresponding 6.49.x firmware. I also observed several unexplained link downs on many of the ethernet interfaces and one of them was climbing with errors that would normally indicate a potential cable or cable end problem. The unit was upgraded to the latest 6 series long-term which is 6.49.13 along with the firmware to match. After doing so the climbing ethernet errors on one of the ports ceased indicating some kind of likely software problem. I was about to send a tech out but based on prior experiences with Mikrotik and potential oddness with devices I use such as Cambium Networks devices I looked more into the software side of things and so far it seems stable. After the OS upgrade and firmware upgrade all passwords were also changed. This problem seems to potentially be related to attempts from many of my customers where it is very likely they are hacked to be part of DDoS attacks that were shut down after getting to the next device in my network which is of the router series and not the CSR series that has enough processing power to handle more bridge and ip firewall rules.
I am curious if this is just a known bug where somehow the uptime might have been off. It was claiming something like 5+ days and some hours but not up to 6 days from about an hour ago and thus far I have no evidence a reboot would have occurred either through any of my accounts or through other means such as loss of power. For example, the devices on the other end showed no corresponding link downs, then ups, associated with the time epoch just before the stated uptime and ending around that same stated uptime which should have occurred if the unit was rebooted I assume.
