Needing of static routing rules for BGP VRF route leaking

Tue Dec 03, 2024 7:25 pm

Hey MikroTik Community,

I´m trying to leak routes between VRFs with BGP. The leaking itself works (I see the routes from the other VRF in the destination VRF), but I can´t ping hosts in networks that are only leaked into that VRF.
So my question is: Do I also need static configured routing rules when I leak the routes with BGP?

imagine that each VRF instance is a separate physical router, would you then add routes?

Yes, routes are already configured dynamically over BGP. I speak / spoke about routing rules. Because it doesn´t work only with the routes.

What do you mean with that? I´m leak the routes in the /routing/protocols/bgp/vpn section with import the routes from other route targets.
