hAP ax2 WiFi disconnecting

Hello Everyone,

I am already loosing my mind. I have hAP ax2 for over 6 months. I did try to learn as much as I could and followed the documentation and YT as well.
For over a month I do have constant issues with WiFi on the router (config below). I did update the router. Management is disabled on the networks my mobile devices are connected. I did not have those issues on those devices before. Every ~5 minutes my phone just reconnects to 5 GHz network. Same with my iPad. And same with my Windows laptop. The phone and tablet are doing this over both networks. Laptop after the update to 17.1 stopped doing that.

Is there anything I could do? Both devices do have static IP set. Also the pool is big enough for many of them.
I have other issues as well but I will open separate topic for that as it is related to cAP XL and capsman.

I am fairly new to that environment and I cannot grasp the logic of many things, however I do have some basic/a bit more than basic experience and I am flabbergasted.

Hi!

Welcome to the club. I've been struggling with the same for months. Or to be exact. Since I upgraded ROS past 7.14.3.
You could try to downgrade to 7.14.3 and see if that helps. This is of course not a solution to the problem, but it will prove that it is not your configuration. Then open a support ticket with MK letting them know that yet another customer is having issues with disconnects.

Try to disable WPA3 and PMKID.

EDIT:
non of the methods or from the topic on top are not fixing the problem introduced in 7.14.3 - before April 2024 all was working properly. I will open a ticket directly with Mikrotik as they asked for more.
We will see.
I will close that topic as there is no point on keeping it alive.
