Frequecy Selection on point to point configuration

Hello. I have a very simple question about PTP frequency selections on Mikrotik Antennas. Can different frequencies be selected on Master (Bridge) and slave (Station-Bridge) ? Because even if I select different frequency on slave side, the slave side's antenna shows same frequency under "Wifi Interfaces" Wireless Status. So I guess, we do not need to change Slave side Frequency?
Summary:
Slave side picks same frequency that is set on Master side. True?
Thank you.

Sorry if I don't understand the "bridge" and "station-bridge" terms correctly. I'm used to MT wave2 where it uses different names but still here's an explanation:

If you got a slave interface on the same device only the master actually controls the physical device.
So only the master can configure the frequency.

If you got 2 devices (one as "ap", one as station):
- AP controls it's own interfaces and can set frequency accordingly
- Station is just a "client" in said frequency so the interface has to follow said frequency.

If you have a slave interface on the "station" device then it has to follow its master interface.

So a setup like this with 1 interface (2.4 or 5ghz) per device would all be on the same frequency:

AP <---> Station <----> Wifi Phone

Master side picks frequency and channel layout ... e.g. 5540/eeCe

Slave side has to follow or connection fails. Settings on slave side are only to instruct slave radio to narrow down search for master signal. Sensible setting on slave side is e.g. auto/XXXX and only benefit of setting few distinct frequencies is to make slave faster when looking for signal of master. For the example AP setting above slave might need to be set with 5500,5520,5540,5560 / XXXX ... which all in principle cover the same 80-MHz channel, but different placement of Control channel. At the same time, AP might be set with 5540/eeCe or 5520/eCee and AP might have chosen the former.

Try calling Master (Bridge) and slave (Station-Bridge) as Access Point (Bridge) and Client (Station-Bridge).

The Access Point transmits at a given frequency, the Client wants to connect to it, so it cannot but use the same frequency (decided by the Access Point).
