well if you are using user-manager just go into wireless>security profiles double click default go to radius and click mac authentication... Make sure in your wireless card settings you are using Default as your security profile so it uses the standards you just set.... ANd last but not least in you wireless card settings under "wireless" Unselect the thing called default authentication.... This will make it consult user-manager

NOW if you are NOT using user-manager Nevermind the above stuff and do this.... GO into you wireless card settings and go to the wireless tab, and deslect the default authentication checkmark.. that will make it so if anybody trys to connect with a MAC address that is not ADDED to the access list they will not be allowed onto the router... Hope this helps -Jordan

Hi! i just installed new RB133c this is mi first time and really difficult for me but now i set it as AP and want to make ONLY access without WPA key but only for MAC address. this mac must be inserted in CONNECT LIST or ACCESS list? please kindly clarify this question.. all peaple than connect to the AP must be autenticated by me with HIS MAC.

so another quest pls ! i wish to control rb133c from internet is there a setting inside to make it ? i can use a DNS service of DYNDNS that i already use so i can set a port and redirect WEBHOP to this Ip and port... and look inside with webbox !!

Many tks all people !!

regards Maurizio :D

Well to answer your first question it is access list. and make sure that under your wireless settings, you have default authentication UNCHECKED!! this makes it look at your access list and see if this MAC address trying to connect the network is there in the access list. very important for that to be unchecked!

For your second question, i only know 2 ways of doing this.... 1st way is to get a SLL certificate, you can purchase them at say verisign, and where not... install it in your router, and then you can contact your router anywere you have an internet connection..

The second method, that i will be using, is using a remote desktop viewer to log into a computer that is running and conneted on the wireless network, and you can remotly log into winbox with that....

Those are all that i know of right now, But i would defintly like to know of any other types or methods of connecting to your router remotly! Good luck -Jordan

Hi Jordan! many Tks, i will check tomorrow immediately and check connect witi MAC..
I am surprised that rb133c do not have a port for HTTP connection as more IP camera or others.
So i try to follow your suggestions. Of course VNC is very useful, but need a PC connected,
reverting later with my tests.
Ciao !

Well im not sure if i hear you 100 % but the default authentication box will be in your wireless settings.

If you are shaping traffic it is all Kila bits or kbit.. -Jordan

Hallo there i have 2 clients on my mikrotik. The other client is mt HP530 laptop. Everytime that i connect to the AP is says "You are connected to a network that is not configured witj security and there are shared folders detected on your system. I have diables default authotization and default forward. But how can i solve this issue, might it be the wireless assistant not working correctly or must i spesify a wep key? thanx
