Is it possible to sort or reorder the tools list?

You can sort by selecting Tools, and click the Name column header. It will sort alphabetically in A-Z or Z-A. There is not a way to further change the order of the Tools that I can find.

When i show the tools list it is sorted alphabetically, but when i rightclick a device and select tools that list is in some wierd order. That is the one i want sorted? Anybody have any ideas?

Sorry, it's coded in, so no way to change it without source.

Does anyone know if this is still the case with 3.1? I'd really like one of my custom external tools to be the first listed in the menu.

In terms of tools....

In 3.1 the tools are ordered in the following order:
1) Mikrotik Tools (Locked)
Ping
Traceroute
Snmpwalk
Scan
Winbox
Terminal
Remote Connection
Torch
Bandwidth Test
2) Mikrotik Tools (Changeable - can delete, alter devices)
Telnet
Web
Ftp
3) Custom Tools
- in the order that you create them -

My guess is that you can play with these by exporting the dude config as XML, alter their SysIDs and then re-import.
Changing SysIDs could mess the Dude up a bit.
