Kraken Reports Proxy Access Analysis

The latest beta of Kraken Reports ( http://www.krakenreports.com ) will open the native tmplog.log file generated by RouterOS / Syslog Daemon and give you full user stats / cache efficiency.
The full release is due out this weekend - currently free - runs on Windows.

You need to install the .net framework for the program to run.
Set RouterOS Web-Proxy-Access Logging to Remote Syslog and enter the Remote IP Address of the Windoze PC running your Mikrotik Syslog Deamon.
The Syslog Daemon generates a file called tmplog.log in it's root; Set KrakenReport Options to Squid Native and Order by IP Address, then open the tmplog.log file.

not convenient for the user who has to go and search for this .net thing and then download 25Mb of something just to make a log analyzer work

my 2 cents. but from the screenshots it looks great

I didn't know that but in any case, I'm already running .NET 1.1.

I'm trying Sawmill in the mean time - not bad for web proxy reporting but I'd also like to find something for firewall analysis.

No to be misunderstood - my criticism was not targeted towards the application itself - I have not tested it, the screenshots look good and informative, so I can judge really here.

My comment was just to the usage of the .NET framework, which I, uuhm, well, not really like

That it will be on most M$ machines in the near future is clear, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. And a 25 mb (or whatever) framework for relatively simple applications isn't something I think of as "smart"...

Squid Common Log Format
Squid Even Log
Squid Guard Log Format
Squid Log Format (Full Headers)

Does MT adhere to any one in particular?

Leigh at Kraken had to make some alterations to his KR dll to make it compatable with the RouterOS implimentation of Squid. KR was originally only designed to work with full Squid. There is a KR release due v soon which will also read the new RouterOS 2.9 Squid logs.
