Hotspot Browser Push

Fri Mar 04, 2005 8:42 am

I tried to get the Hotspot feature setup on my routerOS. And after I created everything(i think it was everything) I tested the setup and none of the clients who connected got a browser push. Any ideas as to what I did wrong?

If you get IP by the DHCP server probably you have not configured DNS correctly.

Try to configure the static DNS and the domain name

what do I do if there is no domain name for the hotspot server? What if it just has an IP address. Can I simply put that in for the domain name?

You can put simply for example yourname.com or whatyouwant.com

Try to put this and a statics IP DNS.

MT states in the User Manual that when setting up Hotspot either use name for DNS setting or leave blank. DO NOT use IP.
