Wireless settings reset to default? Anybody seen this?

Just wondering if anybody else has ever encountered this problem. We have two wireless cards in a mikrotik (AR5213's). Every few days the wireless link drops, and I have to travel out there. When I get there I find the two wireless interfaces disabled and reset to default settings. Once I re-enable and reinput the settings they come back up. But what could cause just the wireless settings to turn off and reset like that? I just don't get it.
Hoping some other troubleshooters out there might have run into something like this.

Well, I had problem with wireless card not set properly in the PCI Slot so it was desapearing.
What you did first when you got there, did you reboot the router or you didn't?
I can't beleive that you just went there, logged in enabled interfaces?
Provide more details, so we can help.
Cheers...

Hi,
We had this problem on a RouterBoard 230 that was powered from Solar Panels.
It happens when the power drops too low to power the wireless cards.
We've also seen this problem where the Ethernet cable was too long for Power over Ethernet. Everything would work fine, but as soon as we did a bandwidth-test the whole thing would power down, and restart with the wireless settings defaulted.

Maybe you should check if there are any long drawn power fluctuations?
If the unit reboots due to power failure and there isnt enough to power the board completely when it's booting the wlan cards wont start (they demand alot of power) and they wont be recognized thus configuration would be reset. This also happens if the power goes on-off-on-off often.

Ended up being a hardware problem. We think either it was the 'not fully inserted' or more likely the card was touching a part of the box. Either way, we replaced the hardware and we haven't had a problem since.
