Hi,
recently i've purchased RB600
i can't access it via Winbox. I used winbox 2.2.7 and 2.2.11
it seems start downloading 1MB then message pops up:
could not get routeros.dll no reply!

Can anybody say what is happening? uncompatibility or malfunction of this routerboard?
I use many of older version of routerboards, and never expirianced this problem.
Vlada.

Connect to router with 'null modem cable' and Hyperterminal to add IP address.
- Upgrade router with FTP method;
- use 2.2.13 Winbox version.
There should not be such error.

Not sure if this is related but also want to make sure you only have one active network card. So no wireless enabled, nor bluetooth etc.

This is just whilst you connect via MAC.

We have had a number of RB600's that do this....

The quickest way (for me) is take another working RB and connect to the RB600 with a short ether cable and MAC Telnet into the RB600 (MAC Address on the rear of the RB600)

Once you are logged in go:-

/system reset-configuration

The RB600 will come back with a default IP address of 192.168.88.1
Set your PC Nic to 192.168.88.xx and login with Winbox normally.

Load latest version of ROS - do your settings and you should be good to go.

Hope this helps.
