dear all,

i'm having trouble in deploying mikrotik with the configuration below.

my configuration is as below:

senao = senao sl-2611-cb3 plus
dlink = dlink 2000ap+ wireless client mode

configuration 1

client-utp---senao~~~~~senao~~~senao-------utp---mikrotik-internet
pc...............bridge mode...ap mode...bridge mode

= client cannot connect to internet, it seems mikrotik cannot masquerade the packet/request from client pc

configuration 2

client-utp-senao~~~~~~~senao~~~~~pci wireless----mikrotik-internet
pc............ bridge mode........ap mode.........card

= client can connect to internet, everything is okay

configuration 3

client-utp-senao~~~~~senao~~~~~dlink 2000ap---mikrotik-internet
pc............bridge mode...ap mode........wireless client
..............................................................mode

= client can connect to internet, everything is okay

what wrong in configuration 1?
any solution for configuration 1?

thanks.

I have the same problem whit a similar configuration.

Clients----MT----Senao Bridge----Senao Bridge----MT (NAT)---Internet

I lost the NAT when the Senao table was fully (one MAC many IPs)

I put one of the Senao in AP and the other in Bridge everithing goes well, but the speed of the link is lowest.

Clients----MT----Senao AP----Senao Bridge----MT (NAT)---Internet

It´s a Senao problem ?

Configuration 4:

Client --- Senao Bridge ~~~~ Senao AP --- MT(NAT) --- Internet

= client can connect to internet, everything is okay

In configuration 1, I have tried enable the 'clone MAC address' option from the Senao bridge, but it still doesn't work.

In configuration 1, I tried replace the MT with winroute, and still doesn't work.

I thing the problem is about arp, but can't find the solution.

Senao problem? or bridging problem? Have you tried with another bridge?

What is your LinkSys bridge type? price? is it support POE?

For client side, I usually use Senao SL-2611-CB3 Plus, cost about 130 usd.

For MT side, I currenty use Configuration 3. But Dlink 2000AP+ in client mode doesn't have any signal strength/quality monitor. So we have difficulty in adjusting the antenna/getting the best signal. How about your LinkSys bridge?

I've never use a Senao Card. But I think every PCI/USB/PCMCIA card attached directly to PC can be NATted properly.

Thx.

Senao as a bridge mode doesn't accept more than one mac address .. it just see the only mac address behind it... I had such problem on PPPoE

I replaced the Senao with pheenet access points

WAP 11.

I only used in a test, I don't use LinkSys, I hate it , but in a backbone works better than the Senao. :(

I'm in Argentina , and its and old access point.
