I have an application to feed three small POP towers from one large one. I wanted to use 3 XR5 cards in a single routerboard, but have some concerns.
Heat - I am in Florida so am concerned about "spreading things out" with room to breath.
I also have to feed this the entire way electrically (about 315 feet from the shelter to the tower position via POE). I need suggestions on the router to use, the box to put it in, and the power supply to use. It is high quality shielded it will be fed from.
New to this part of the game with Mikrotik / Ubiquity.
Greatly appreciate the recommmendations !

You could - of course - use a RB600 with a RB604 Daughterboard.... that will give you plenty versatility...
You'll need at least 24V DC to drive it all which could be a challenge on the power supply issue, but if this can be overcome and you can send 48v DC up the mast - you'll be home and cooking...

What Tanker said is the answer for your question. i.e. RB600 with RB604 inside an EN-TW4N enclosure fed at 48vdc POE but it is a single point of failure.
I would much rather put three single radio/routerboards on the tower. Using one of the RB411 family (RB411, RB411A, or RB411AH) inside a DCE-H-7x6x2 enclosure fed at 24vdc POE. That would give you some separation from interference and less loss and downtime in case of a routerboard failure.

Yeah - I suppose...
But- unless you want to run a FULL 1+1 (double up on everything!!!) this coulld work out a tad expensive....
I have nothing against using multiple boards etc - but it means to factor out the "single point of failure" you'll need to double on everything including antennas and using flip-flop power supplies etc... hell - I may as well double up on all my clients, just in case one of them fell off a bus...
For the price of MT components - and the ease of installtion, and the versatility and - aaaarrrrgh - I could go on forever - let me just say that using a single RB + Daughterboard which IS INSTALLED PROPERLY!!!!!! - works for us... we seldom visit our BSS's unless it's scheduled maintenance trips.
... and then - if one did (
) fail.. it's simple enough to copy on the Backup file (you have backups right???) point your finger in the direction of the BSS to the tech and viloa... couple of hours you'll be up and running again. I know this sounds like a bet on the MT not failing - but until it happens to me I'm comfortable with our setups.
