Major problems with webproxy!

Wed Aug 27, 2008 5:55 pm

Hi,

I was use webproxy on 2.9.x version and works fine.
last week i need to setup new cache with ROS 3.13 and
have several problems.

I was setup with IDE-Flash as system drive and 40Gb IDE-HDD as cache drive.

first of all i was type "format-drive primary-master" and then yes

and get "drive will formatted shortly" and noting happens (No HDD LED blinking and so on)
and then i was type "set cache-drive=primary-master"
and get "format the disk befor using it for cache"

i was done this several times and nothing happens.

has any one test this before and has any suggestion.

Regards
Ali

We confirmed that described behaviour is a bug, it'will be fixed at 3.14 version.

brother y r you not using external cache server
i think is 50% better then internal caching, fast browsing fast resolving and using low system sources

I had the same problem. I simply disabled web-proxy in Mikrotik and added IPCOP in another PC between WAN and Mikrotik.
That did the trick, till 3.14 arrives...

Dear Brother Muhammad,

Salam, I have few questions for you. 1st of all can you give squid setting, I mean your squid.conf file setting. are you using TOS in the both squid and MT?
And BTW what is AOA :)
