I installed 3.0rc1 and so far like it except for the background problem. I tried to use the ping tool though and it just hangs. When i close the window i get the usual this program is not responding messages. Any ideas?

There is a thread that says ping doesn't work for non full admins... Are you running as read only user?

Works ok in rc2
